Softball Game Preview: Pine Plains Bombers vs. Columbia Blue Devils

The Pine Plains Bombers will head out to take on the Columbia Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Pine Plains' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Columbia's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Saturday, Pine Plains came up short against Highland and fell 9-6. The Bombers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Columbia ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Ballston Spa. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Scotties recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Pine Plains' loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 9-5. As for Columbia, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
