Preview: Lyman Eagles vs. Douglas Bearcats
Lyman is 1-7 against Douglas since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Lyman Eagles' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Douglas Bearcats at 10:30 a.m. on March 7th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Lyman rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 40-29.
BriLee Bradshaw was nothing short of spectacular: she almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna France, who scored five points.
Meanwhile, Douglas put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Buffalo with points to spare, taking the game 59-42. That's two games straight that Douglas has won by exactly 17 points.
Douglas got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lauren Olsen out in front who scored 21 points along with three steals. Olsen has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 14 times she's played. Jaden Meyer was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Lyman's record now sits at 14-11. As for Douglas, they pushed their record up to 24-0 with that victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
