Annie Sichting leads Tabernacle Christian to victory over Seven Oaks Classical

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northside L, the Tabernacle Christian Eagles were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They came out on top against Seven Oaks Classical by a score of 62-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

It was another big night for Annie Sichting, who almost dropped a triple-double on 29 points, ten assists, and nine steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Tabernacle Christian's points. Liz Southerland was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds.

Despite the defeat, Seven Oaks Classical saw an underclassman step up: Macy Bush scored 32 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 58.2% of Seven Oaks Classical's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Lucy Adams, who scored seven points.

Seven Oaks Classical struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Tabernacle Christian racked up 11 assists.

Tabernacle Christian's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Seven Oaks Classical, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10.

Tabernacle Christian will take on Fishers Christian Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Tabernacle Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday. As for Seven Oaks Classical, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 42-28 victory vs. Bloomington HomeSchool on the 10th.
