Recap: Seminole Warhawks vs. Osceola Warriors

The Seminole Warhawks waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Osceola 38-15. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-0.

Seminole had a senior duo take command as Laney Pearson scored 17 points and Devon Swartz scored nine points along with two blocks. Swartz is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last six games she's played.

Seminole's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-11. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Osceola, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seminole will take on Manatee at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Manatee is ranked 363rd, while Seminole is ranked 376th). As for Osceola, Osceola and Indian Rocks Christian will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
