Recap: Cascade Christian Challengers vs. St. Mary's Crusaders
The Cascade Christian Challengers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past St. Mary's, posting a 60-0 victory at home. Fans of Cascade Christian have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Cascade Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashton Moody, who rushed for 14 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 132 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Luke Wilson was another key contributor, gaining 46 total yards and three touchdowns.
Cascade Christian's win was their 12th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for St. Mary's, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Cascade Christian will head out on the road to face off against South Umpqua at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Umpqua will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for St. Mary's, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Coquille/Pacific at 7:00 p.m.
