Volleyball Recap: Alcorn Central Takes a Loss

Alcorn Central lost against Lake Cormorant back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bears fell just short of Lake Cormorant by a score of 2-1. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Stella Hollis paced Alcorn Central's offense, picking up ten kills. Hollis got some help from Branna Quinn and her 11 assists. Hollis was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Alcorn Central now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Lake Cormorant, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Alcorn Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Pearl on the 2nd. As for Lake Cormorant, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Madison Central on the 2nd.
