Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Fatima

On Tuesday, the Fatima Comets narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hallsville Indians 58-55. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Comets' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while the Indians are ranked 22nd).

Fatima has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Hallsville, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-2 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fatima will square off against Linn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hallsville, they will host Blair Oaks at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hallsville has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
