If Ashley wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Carson City-Crystal, they should've done a better job of containing Cole Smith. The Carson City-Crystal Eagles took down the Ashley Bears 45-28 on Thursday thanks in part to Smith, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Another player making a difference was Kieran Craddock, who posted three points and five rebounds. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Carson City-Crystal's win bumped their record up to 3-16. As for Ashley, their loss was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-19.

Coming up, Carson City-Crystal will square off against Merrill at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ashley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lansing Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
