Basketball Recap: Baker County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Baker County lost against Fort White back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 63-39 to the Indians. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Baker County still got an impressive performance from Yamise Haygood, who posted 18 points along with seven boards and seven steals. That was a full 46.2% of the Wildcats' points, marking the fourth time in a row Haygood has scored more than a third of the team's points. Makai'Lah Williams was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

Fort White got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jahlaya Wilson out in front who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ya'Zuri Hollie, who shot 50% from the field en route to 19 points and three blocks.

Baker County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Fort White, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Baker County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 58-28 win against Harvest Community on the 5th. As for Fort White, they will head out to take on The Rock at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
