Recap: Fletcher Senators vs. Fernandina Beach Pirates
The Fletcher Senators lost against the Fernandina Beach Pirates back in February of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Fletcher fell just short of Fernandina Beach by a score of 51-49.
Loss or not, Fletcher got some senior leadership from Matthew Barata who scored 13 points and Sam Perry who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds. Dj Rivera was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Fletcher's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Fernandina Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Fletcher will head out on the road to face off against Westside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fernandina Beach won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against ED White at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully ED White focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
