Basketball Game Preview: Southeast Pirates vs. Liberty Leopards

The Southeast Pirates will square off against the Liberty Leopards at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Southeast had to suffer through a 73-46 loss at the hands of LaBrae. The Pirates have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by Newton Falls and fell 69-34. While losing is never fun, the Leopards can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 734th, while the Tigers are ranked 353rd).

Southeast's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Everything came up roses for Southeast against Liberty in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 58-30 win. Does Southeast have another victory up their sleeve, or will Liberty turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
