Recap: Stockton Tigers vs. Natoma Tigers
In what's become a running theme this season, the Stockton Tigers gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past Natoma 48-20 at home. The win was just what Stockton needed coming off of a 54-23 defeat in their prior contest.
Natoma's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was MaKayla Murphy, who scored four points along with five rebounds and three blocks. It was the first time this season that Murphy posted two or more blocks. Kizzie Shelton was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Stockton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Natoma, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stockton will take on Plainville at TBD on Tuesday. As for Natoma, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Pike Valley at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Pike Valley is coming into the contest with four straight defeats on the road, meaning Natoma will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
