Volleyball Recap: Sun Valley Has No Trouble Against Berry

Sun Valley's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Berry Cardinals as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Spartans not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024.

Sun Valley walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-19.

The win snapped Sun Valley's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-6 record. As for Berry, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Sun Valley will challenge Providence at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for the Spartans: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while the Panthers have snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. As for Berry, they will venture away from home to square off against Butler at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
