Volleyball Recap: Ankeny Centennial Beats Liberty for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Ankeny Centennial had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They came out on top against the Liberty Lightning by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Jaguars also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Tatem Schmidt paced Ankeny Centennial's offense, picking up 12 kills. Schmidt got some help from Maegan Cheeseman and her 15 assists. Ellie Pollock and Kaelyn Rinehart kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Ankeny Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 28-5. As for Liberty, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.

Ankeny Centennial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Pleasant Valley on the 11th. Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
