Sayville won the last time they faced Westhampton Beach and things went their way on Saturday too. The Golden Flashes sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Hurricanes.

Jill Livingston paced Sayville's offense, picking up five kills. Livingston got some help from Madelyn Vitale and her seven assists. Karley Ruckert controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Sayville's victory bumped their record up to 13-4-1. As for Westhampton Beach, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Sayville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Wantagh on the 11th. Westhampton Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
