The Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks will head out on the road to challenge the Spring Valley Grizzlies at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cheyenne Mountain made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Durango, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Cheyenne Mountain was the clear victors by a 17-9 margin over Durango on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red-Tailed Hawks.

Back at the plate, Damon Koldesko was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Evan Matheson was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Cheyenne Mountain's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Spring Valley, their record now sits at 4-2-1.
