Softball Recap: Four Straight Home Victories for Claymont

Claymont won the last time they faced Ridgewood and things went their way on Monday too. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Generals 7-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Ava Edwards was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Makyah Maple, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Claymont's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-9. As for Ridgewood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8-1.

Claymont has already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Martins Ferry on the 14th. As for Ridgewood, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Newark Catholic on the 16th.
