Baseball Game Preview: Workman Lobos vs. Ganesha Giants

For the second straight game, Workman will face off against Ganesha. The Lobos will venture away from home to face off against the Giants at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Workman has given up an average of 12.7 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Workman's offense. They came up short against Ganesha on Tuesday, falling 30-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Lobos in their meetings with the Giants: they've now lost five in a row.

For Ganesha's part, Alvaro Moreno looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Moreno has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ganesha got a massive performance out of Evan Longoria, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Longoria a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isiaiah Ibarra, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with six RBI, three runs, and one triple.

Ganesha kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive contests.

Ganesha pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.5 runs over those games. As for Workman, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.
