While Ravenswood's victory against Braxton County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Eagles on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 on April 1st.

Joe Casto spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 14 Ks.

On the hitting side, Noah Dawson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Ralphie Rhodes, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Ravenswood's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Braxton County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ravenswood will welcome Tug Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Braxton County, they will challenge Roane County at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
