It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Yuba City had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Central Catholic Raiders 8-7. The Honkers are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.

Eliaja Moncher was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Niko Ibarra was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Yuba City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive contests.

Yuba City's win bumped their record up to 28-5. As for Central Catholic, they moved to 23-11 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Yuba City nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
