Baseball Recap: Linton-Stockton's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Linton-Stockton dropped their record down to 5-3 on Monday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They came up short against the Northview Knights, falling 7-1. The Miners were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

As for Northview, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. That six run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For Northview's part, Trey Edlridge spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks. Edlridge has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Northview got a massive performance out of Quinn Lewis, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that Lewis has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Derek Morrison, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Coming up, Linton-Stockton will venture away from home to square off against Clay City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northview, they will face off against Owen Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
