Softball Recap: Santee Falcons vs. Jefferson Democrats

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Port of Los Angeles, Santee was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Jefferson Democrats by a score of 14-11. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Santee considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Giselle Pelayo made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Pelayo was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, a triple, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alondra Huerta, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-5. Alexandra Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
