A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Aggieland HomeSchool Panthers challenge the Bremond Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday... Aggieland HomeSchool is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.5 points per game this season.
Back in December of 2024, Aggieland HomeSchool was able to grind out a solid win over Franklin, taking the game 62-50.
Aggieland HomeSchool can attribute much of their success to Van Call, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 22 points and five rebounds, and Ethan Cox, who went 6 of 12 en route to 17 points along with eight boards and six assists. Call is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. Micah Krajca was another key player, putting up four points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bremond hadn't done well against Iola recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Bremond simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Iola 62-34. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 24 points or more this season.
Bremond's win came from a few key players Aggieland HomeSchool will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jeremy Harris, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Jeramiah Morgan, who posted eight points in addition to 13 rebounds and six assists.
Bremond smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in nine consecutive contests.
Aggieland HomeSchool has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Bremond, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's matchup: Aggieland HomeSchool has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 38.6% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Bremond, though, as they've only made 18.2% of their three-pointers this season. Given Aggieland HomeSchool's sizable advantage in that area, Bremond will need to find a way to close that gap.
