Lynnfield extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Elliana Moretti. Everything went the Pioneers' way against the North Reading Hornets on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 win thanks in part to Moretti, who had 22 digs and four aces. She has been hot, having posted 16 or more digs the last seven times she's played.

While Lynnfield won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-10, 25-18.

Lynnfield's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for North Reading, their loss ended a seven-match streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 14-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lynnfield will square off against rival Georgetown at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, North Reading is set to take on their familiar foe Triton Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
