Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask River Bluff). They put the hurt on the Lugoff-Elgin Demons with a sharp 9-1 win on Tuesday. Holden Carruthers was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

River Bluff's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Lugoff-Elgin, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River Bluff will welcome Westside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. River Bluff's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Westside's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lugoff-Elgin has given up an average of 4.6 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
