Soccer Game Preview: Cosby vs. James River Midlothian

The Cosby Titans will head out to take on the James River Midlothian Rapids at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Cosby is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to seven goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Midlothian on Thursday. They lost 5-0 to the Trojans. While losing is never fun, Cosby can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Midlothian are ranked 25th).

Meanwhile, James River Midlothian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They never let Monacan get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but James River Midlothian were the better team in the second half.

James River Midlothian's win bumped their record up to 13-0-1. As for Cosby, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Cosby suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to James River Midlothian in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
