Volleyball Game Preview: Marion Patriots vs. Searcy Lions

Marion has gone a perfect 10-0 against Searcy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Patriots will be playing at home against the Lions at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Marion has 14 straight victories, Searcy has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Marion got the win against Mountain Home by a conclusive 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 25-13.

Marion can attribute much of their success to ABBIGALE SIMMONS, who had 12 digs and one assist, and ANNABELLE WHITE, who had seven digs. That's the most digs WHITE has posted since back in September.

Marion was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Searcy came up short against Valley View on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16, 25-12.

Marion's win bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Searcy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.

Everything went Marion's way against Searcy in their previous meeting back in September, as Marion made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
