Softball Recap: North Salinas Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rancho San Juan back in March, North Salinas came back down to earth. The Vikings took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monterey Dores on Wednesday. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Dores recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

North Salinas now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Monterey, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. North Salinas will face off against rival Hollister at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 3.3, the Haybalers 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Monterey is set to take on their familiar foe Watsonville at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
