Baseball Recap: Millis' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Millis ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Norton Lancers 7-5. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Mohawks as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Aidan Sugrue, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Morse, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Millis' victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Norton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
