Point Loma and Christian are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2021, but not for long. The Pointers will challenge the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Point Loma has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Christian will arrive with four straight wins.

Point Loma came up short against Crawford on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Point Loma was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Christian got the win against Santana on Friday by a conclusive 3-0.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 25-20, 26-24, 27-25.

Point Loma's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Christian, they pushed their record up to 15-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Point Loma took their win against Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pointers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
