Soccer Game Preview: Canterbury vs. Out-of-Door Academy

Canterbury has won four straight games at home, while Out-of-Door Academy has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Canterbury Cougars will host the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Canterbury is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past The Classical Academy of Sarasota 8-2. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-0.

Canterbury's offense was hitting The Classical Academy of Sarasota from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Mackenzie Molina led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Out-of-Door Academy kept a clean sheet against Neumann on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over the Celtics. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Thunder considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Canterbury's win bumped their record up to 16-4-2. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4-2 record this season.

Canterbury took their victory against Out-of-Door Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2019 by a conclusive 6-1. Will Canterbury repeat their success, or does Out-of-Door Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
