Meanwhile, Pittston took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Sunday. They skirted past Abington Heights 5-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Like Dunmore, Pittston also got a great game from a two-way player: Elijah Barr. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Barr was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
