Softball Recap: Marlette Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Marlette's offense. They came up short against the Lapeer Lightning on Tuesday, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lightning this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 on Tuesday.

Marlette has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Lapeer, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-21.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marlette will venture away from home to take on Harbor Beach at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lapeer, they will challenge Grand Blanc at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
