Basketball Recap: Capital Comes Up Short

Capital lost against Kuna back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Capital Golden Eagles fell to the Kuna Kavemen 45-41. The Golden Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Capital's record now sits at 7-6. As for Kuna, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-9.

Capital and Kuna could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Idaho Rankings. Capital (ranked 29th) will meet Eagle (ranked third) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Kuna will face off against Borah at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 35 places (42 vs. 7).
