Eureka won against Howell North on Thursday with two runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Webster Groves Statesmen 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Statesmen: they've now won five in a row.

Eureka's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-12. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Webster Groves, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-26 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eureka will face off against Waynesville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
