Basketball Recap: Fort Cherry Victorious

Fort Cherry won the last time they faced West Greene and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Fort Cherry Rangers slipped by the West Greene Pioneers 62-61.

West Greene's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lane Allison, who went 8 for 15 en route to 24 points. Allison's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Parker Burns, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds.

Fort Cherry has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for West Greene, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.

Fort Cherry has already played their next game (against Mapletown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. West Greene is taking a road trip to challenge Bethlehem Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
