Recap: Tallassee Tigers vs. Demopolis Tigers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Tallassee Tigers can now relate to. They took a 50-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. Tallassee has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Tallassee still got an impressive performance from Rowen Thornton, who scored 19 points. That was a full 42.2% of Tallassee's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Tallassee has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season. As for Demopolis, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
Tallassee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Demopolis, they will head out on the road to take on Central of Clay County at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Central of Clay County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Demopolis likes a good challenge.
