Baseball Recap: John Hay Takes a Loss

John Hay managed to slip by Lincoln West the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. John Hay came up short against Lincoln West on Tuesday, falling 21-6. John Hay was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lincoln West apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Beau Harris Jr was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while going 3-for-3. Harris Jr is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Mo Al-Amin, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

John Hay now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Lincoln West, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John Hay will face off against Bard Early College at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lincoln West, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lawrence Upper at 5:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
