Baseball Recap: Carver A&T Takes a Loss

Carver A&T lost against Chesapeake back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Bay Hawks by a score of 6-5. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by just one run.

Carver A&T saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zion Kerney, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Liam Battaglia was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Carver A&T is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6. As for Chesapeake, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carver A&T will host Owings Mills at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Chesapeake, they will be playing at home against Perry Hall at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
