Geneseo won the last time they faced Rock Island and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Maple Leafs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Rocks 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Maple Leafs.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Geneseo got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 25-19.

Geneseo's win bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Rock Island, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Geneseo will challenge Sherrard at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rock Island, they will face off against Orion at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
