Soccer Game Preview: Skyline vs. Mount Si

The Skyline Spartans will head out to face off against the Mount Si Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Skyline will be strutting in after a victory while Mount Si will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Skyline sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over North Creek. Skyline haven't had any issues with North Creek recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Mount Si faced Newport - Bellevue in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Skyline's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Mount Si, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-2-3.

Everything went Skyline's way against Mount Si when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Skyline made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
