Basketball Recap: Castle View Gets the Win

Grandview came into Saturday's matchup looking for another win against Castle View, but Evan Mckean wouldn't allow it. The Castle View Sabercats came out on top against the Grandview Wolves by a score of 64-56 on Saturday thanks in part to Mckean, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Castle View's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Graham, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in December of 2023.

The win got Castle View back to even at 5-5. As for Grandview, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Castle View will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Chatfield at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Grandview also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Vista PEAK Prep at 2:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Vista PEAK Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
