Soccer Recap: Goochland Takes a Loss

Goochland lost against Western Albemarle back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Warriors, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Goochland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Western Albemarle are ranked 39th).

Goochland has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Western Albemarle, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3-2.

Coming up, Goochland will take on Louisa County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Goochland are facing Louisa County at the right time seeing as Louisa County are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Western Albemarle, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Albemarle at 7:00 p.m. Western Albemarle are on a five-game streak of home wins, Albemarle a seven-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
