Volleyball Recap: Wando Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Wando and Summerville squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Wando had to settle for second. They came up short against the Green Wave, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered since September 26th.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Summerville scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-17.

Summerville can attribute much of their success to Mason Mills, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces Mills has posted since back in September.

Wando's defeat dropped their record down to 22-6-1. As for Summerville, they pushed their record up to 32-5 with the win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.

Wando does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Summerville, they will face off against Carolina Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
