Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Taryn Tracy and Hattie Frievalt Lead Crivitz to Victory

Crivitz posted their closest victory since August 26th on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Algoma Wolves 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Wolverines, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Crivitz got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 18-25, 15-11.

Leading Crivitz to victory were Hattie Frievalt and Taryn Tracy. Frievalt had six digs and two aces, while Tracy had five digs. What's more, Frievalt racked up 14 assists, the most she's had over her last five matchups.

Crivitz pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Algoma, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Coincidentally, Crivitz and Algoma will both be playing Two Rivers the next time they take the court. The Wolverines will head out to face the Purple Raiders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Wolves will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
