Volleyball Recap: Alton Comes Up Short

Alton lost against O'Fallon back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Redbirds took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Redbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-18.

Ja'Kayla Steen paced Alton's offense, picking up three kills. Steen got some help from Mackenzie Cochran and her four assists.

Alton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-20. As for O'Fallon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-11.

Alton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Maryville Christian on the 13th. As for O'Fallon, they will face off against Althoff Catholic at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
