Softball Recap: Doherty Memorial Victorious

Doherty Memorial won the last time they faced Leominster and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Highlanders skirted past the Blue Devils 6-4.

Riley Cormier made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Audrey Lefebvre was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Isabella LLanos, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI.

Doherty Memorial now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Leominster, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Doherty Memorial will face off against St. Paul at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Leominster, they will challenge North Middlesex Regional at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
