Volleyball Recap: Udalys Diaz's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Alpaugh over Lindsay

Alpaugh managed to slip by Lindsay the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Buffalos came up short against the Cardinals on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Buffalos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Alpaugh took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-16, 25-17.

Alpaugh lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Udalys Diaz, who had eight digs and six assists.

Hayleigh Tenorio was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 12 digs and two assists.

Alpaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lindsay, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Alpaugh has already played their next contest (against Coast Union), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lindsay, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against McFarland on the 19th.
