A Season-Best Performance from Josh Roberson Leads Chapel Hill over Riverside-Durham

Chapel Hill was led to victory by Josh Roberson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Roberson rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries.

Riverside-Durham had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Roberson it was a similar story. Roberson rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown the last time he and the Pirates duked it out back in October of 2023.

Tyler Jackson Has Career Rushing Day

Tyler Jackson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Chapel Hill to the win on Thursday. Jackson rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards.

Jackson might have his next game, a home matchup with Northern Durham, circled on his calendar. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Jackson saw the Knights), he rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown.

Jordan found a leader in Amareon Blue as the squad took down East Chapel Hill on Thursday. Blue was dynamite, rushing for 90 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 45 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Blue is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Riverside-Durham on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Blue saw the Pirates), he rushed for 154 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries.

Jamarion Ross Goes Supernova in Riverside-Durham Defeat

Riverside-Durham had to settle for second on Thursday, but Jamarion Ross sure wasn't going down easily. Despite the defeat, Ross was still balling out as he rushed for 155 yards on only 15 carries, and also picked up 34 receiving yards and a touchdown.

On the season, Ross has averaged 202.2 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he was only averaging 76.8 rushing yards per game.

Christian Cook Makes Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Christian Cook of Hillside. Cook rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.

Hillside is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. Cook and Hillside will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Chapel Hill at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.
