Softball Recap: Knox Drops Season-High Score on Laville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Knox). They put the hurt on the LaVille Lancers with a sharp 18-1 victory on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Redskins considering their two-run performance the contest before.

The team relied heavily on Karleigh Friedrich, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elise Wolff, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Knox always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as LaVille only posted an OBP of .250.

Knox's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-4. As for LaVille, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Knox will face off against Argos at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Redskins will need to watch out since the Dragons have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches. As for LaVille, they will host Bremen at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
